Venezuela laments Hilary Clinton's unfriendly remarks in interview
VHeadline News Editor Patrick J. O'Donoghue reports: The Venezuelan Foreign (MRE) Ministry has issued a communique responding to remarks made by US Secretary Of State, Hillary Clinton to a leading presenter of the opposition Globovision 24-hour news channel.
The communique laments the fact that at a time when efforts are being made to improve relations with the US government, Clinton lapses into old value statements on Venezuelan democracy and relations that Venezuela has with other countries.
Once more, the Venezuelan government accuses the US of showing a lack of understanding of the national reality, as well as despising the will shown by the Venezuelan people many times within the framework of a real participative democracy.
Clinton's remarks are considered "unfriendly" act and a "clumsy and aggressive sign" on the part of the US government towards Venezuela, Latin America and the Caribbean.
"The Bolivarian government rejects this disrespectful gesture and calls for rectification for the good of relations between the US government and the Bolivarian government of Venezuela."
