Fly-on-the-wall from the Oval Office, Washington D.C., Sunday, June 28, 2009...
VHeadline commentarist Oscar Heck writes: Leon Panetta, is the current director of the CIA. Mike Hayden is the former director of the CIA (until February 2009). Prior to that, Hayden was Director of the National Security Agency (1999 to 2005). He led the controversial NSA surveillance of technological communications between persons in the United States, which resulted in the NSA warrantless surveillance scandal.
At the White House on Sunday June 28, 2009, P.M.
Barak Obama: Get me Leon on the phone, now!
Assistant: Yes Sir.
Leon Panetta: Hello …
Assistant: This is Ari, the President wants a word with you, now.
Leon Panetta: Yes.
Barak Obama: Listen Leon, what’s going on? Honduras.
Leon Panetta: Took us by surprise. Came unexpectedly. You know, I’ve only been at this job for five months. We had other priorities. Afghanistan, Iraq, Guantanamo … what a mess. Our implication in Latin America was far down the list, except for The Three Musketeers situation, you know, Chavez, Evo and Correa. Nicaragua is no problem, yet … and we never expected Zelaya would be a problem. His people were on our payroll prior to his election in 2006 and they guaranteed us that he was one of us … right wing, all business, free-trade … a damned gold mine, besides, he is a damned multi-millionaire …
Barak Obama: What went wrong?
Leon Panetta: Don’t know. The fact that he has recently been spending time with The Three Musketeers didn’t seem to be a threat at all …
Barak Obama: Go through the entire file, now! Get our ground guys in here immediately, keep a minimum in Honduras for now. I’ll want a briefing first thing in the morning. And, as soon as you can, go through all the crap that Mike Hayden left us … get more people on it, now! We can’t be associated with Bush and his gang of thugs … at least, that’s the way it has to to appear. Capice?
Leon Panetta: I understand.
Barak Obama: Hold on Leon … I’m thinking … hummm … this coup is a carbon copy of the Chavez coup in 2002 … the kidnapping, the fake letter of resignation, the whole thing … and it’s a well known fact now that Bush and your department and the NED and USAID were deeply involved … which leads to the conclusion … that … Micheletti is probably on our payroll. Check it out, now!
Twelve minutes later:
Leon Panetta: President. You were right. Micheletti has been on our payroll as of October of last year, 2008, propbably about the same time Zelaya started hanging around with The Three Musketeers. We found the file hidden under a different issue file, under a different name. Hayden should’a told us! Shiii…
Barak Obama: Bastards, Bush and Hayden and the rest of them. Watch your back Leon. Politics. Well … we gotta deal with it now. And Leon … people out there aren’t stupid … they may be stupid here, but not out the
