Chavez: Bolivarian Revolution brother to Iran's Islamic Revolution

VHeadline.com News Editor Patrick J. O'Donoghue writes:  During his visit to Iran, Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez Frias has given Iran his country's unconditional support in the common struggle against the US government.

Chavez Frias says his country's support for Iran is based on the latter's spirit of nationalism and determination to pursue an independent stance in a multi-polar world.

  • Iranian President, Mahmoud Ahmadineyad has stated that the two countries share many things in common in bilateral, regional and global issues and that both countries' potentials are becoming complementary.

Although Ahmadineyad was not at the airport to receive Chavez Frias on the latter's arrival, the Iranian Energy Minister was ... the two leaders met later at the President's Office.

Opposition media in Venezuela are suggesting that Russian President Putin's not meeting Chavez Frias on the latter's arrival in Moscow was a humiliation ... no doubt, they will repeat the slur in the case of Iran.

This is Chavez Frias' fifth visit to Iran and several agreements are already producing results, such as an Iranian tractor plant, an industrial mold production plant and petrochemical complexes.

The two nations are also expected to reach an agreement on joint oil projects in the Gulf of Venezuela.

In fact, the visiting delegation will monitor, update and sign a massive 80 agreements that have already been hammered out in advance meetings between experts and Ministers.

The Venezuelans are particularly interested in the transfer of technology and exchange of social experiences and forms of organization.

Yesterday, President Chavez Frias has met the Supreme Leader of Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei.

The two leaders have discussed the Israeli invasion of Lebanon and its effect on the Arab and Muslim world.

Both men have rejected the US-UK plan to create a "New Middle East" claiming that US influence is on the wane.

Chavez Frias  says the Bolivarian Revolution is brother to the Islamic Revolution in Iran.

Our editorial statement reads:
VHeadline.com Venezuela is a wholly independent e-publication promoting democracy in its fullest expression and the inalienable right of all Venezuelans to self-determination and the pursuit of sovereign independence without interference. Our stance is decidedly pro-governance (defined as being contrary to anarchy) and pro-government to the extent that we support all and any government policies aimed at consolidating and improving the living conditions and future prosperity of ALL Venezuelans, regardless of race, color or creed. We also seek to shed an international spotlight on nefarious practices and corruption which, for decades, has strangled this South American nation's development and progress. In every respect VHeadline Venezuela's declared editorial bias is most definitely pro-Constitutional, pro-Democracy and pro-VENEZUELA.
