Venezuelans have better reason today to prepare for a US invasion...
VHeadline.com commentarist Oscar Heck writes: This will be a short one ... but aimed directly at the US government and at anti-Chavez Venezuelans. Late yesterday, March 28, 2006, VHeadline.com published an article entitled, US Navy prepares aircraft carrier strike group for "major training exercise."
Here is a quote from the article:
"The (US) Navy will send an aircraft carrier strike group, with four ships, a 60-plane air wing and 6,500 sailors, to Caribbean and South American waters for a major training exercise, it was announced Monday. Some defense analysts suggested that the unusual two-month-long deployment, set to begin in early April, could be interpreted as a show of force by anti-American governments in Venezuela and Cuba. The mission was sought by the US Southern Command, which has its headquarters in Miami and is responsible for all military activities in Latin America south of Mexico."
The above quote sets the scene ... and this next quote leads to the reality of the threat which the USA truly is:
"Stephen Johnson, a former US State Department and senior policy analyst for Latin America at The Heritage Foundation, said such training exercises are relatively common in the region for the United States , albeit smaller ones. 'It’s a chance to show the flag and let our friends know we care,' he said."
"Let our friends know we care?"
What kind of comment is this?
It is hypocritical and almost a straight-forward lie. I will explain.
The Heritage Foundation is a right-wing conservative US think tank whose mission statement reads, "Founded in 1973, The Heritage Foundation is a research and educational institute - a think tank - whose mission is to formulate and promote conservative public policies based on the principles of free enterprise, limited government, individual freedom, traditional American values, and a strong national defense."
Two of the board members of the Heritage Foundation (of which Steve Johnson, above, is a part) are Midge Decter and Steve Forbes. Midge Decter and Steve Forbes are signees at the Project for the New American Century (PNAC), a Washington-based radical right-wing organization which promotes the USA's taking over of the world, economically, socially and militarily.
Donald Rumsfeld, Dick Cheney and Paul Wolfowitz are also signees at the PNAC!
Chavez has good reason to worry.
Venezuelans have better reason to prepare themselves for a US invasion ... and those Venezuelans who are anti-Chavez and USA-loving should leave Venezuela as soon as possible ... before it is too late.
That is all I have to say ... for now.
