Subject: International law must take precedence
Why is the Bush regime in Washington, DC having so much trouble with extraditing Luis Posada Carriles the terrorist to Cuba or Venezuela?
After all, Luis Posada Carriles placed a bomb aboard a Cuban air liner in 1976 and killed 73 people.
That alone makes him a terrorist.
The very argument by the Bush regime that it cannot extradite Luis Posada Carriles to Cuba or Venezuela because he will not get a fair trial is there is a load of poppycock.
Did President Manuel Noriega of Panama, who US forces kidnapped, get a fair trial in the US? Certainly not ... because the US government would not permit it.
- The Bush regime is being hypocritical in refusing extradite Luis Posada Carriles to Cuba or Venezuela ... because they are the perceived enemies of the US.
The present refusal of the Bush regime to extradite Luis Posada Carriles to Cuba or Venezuela, actually validates the Afghan Taliban government's refusal to extradite Osama Bin Laden from Afghanistan.
International law does not discriminate between friendly or unfriendly states ... and considers all equal before the law.
The US refusal does not help anyone in the area of justice, but creates barriers to it.
