Franz J. T. Lee: Venezuela ... Waterloo or Dien Bien Phu?

University of Los Andes (ULA) professor Franz J. T. Lee writes: As we know, in 1991, the USA launched its Nunn-Lugar Cooperative Threat Reduction program, that supposedly has the noble objective to destroy all types of Weapons Of Mass Destruction (WMD'S) that were produced during the Cold War era.

Apart from scrapping some obsolete models of its very own arsenal, and those of its allies, like Israel, the USA itself continues producing all kinds of new varieties of mortal and lethal arms.

Furthermore, like in the covert "Operation Paper-Clip," that provided future jobs for the ex-Nazi scientists in the USA, it sought to find gainful employment for the former, highly-qualified Stalinist natural scientists. In fact, as a result of the 2003 Nunn-Lugar Expansion Act many chemical weapons were eliminated in Albania.

This was just the beginning of Washington's strategy to disarm any possible, future competitor for world hegemony. On November 16, 2004, Senator Richard Lugar introduced a bill for the Conventional Arms Threat Reduction Act (CATRA), to be passed in 2005, and it "is designed to give the State Department 'a focused response to the threat posed by vulnerable stockpiles of conventional weapons around the world,' he said, 'including tactical missiles and man-portable air defense systems, or MANPADS.' MANPADS in the hands of terrorists could pose threats to commercial airliners and increase the vulnerability of military and government facilities."

Furthermore, Lugar's bill would authorize the State Department anywhere, in Venezuela or Latin America, at whim and caprice, to eliminate any conventional weapons of its "enemies", that harbor global "terrorism," including even their small arms, light weapons and tactical missiles. He argued that they pose a "grave risk to American military bases, embassy compounds and even targets within the United States."

Arrogantly, the USA sees itself as the self-nominated guardian of humanity; Washington decides what its own role should be, and what is "good" for other nations. In fact, North American double-standard ideology is flooded with this insane Aryan superiority complex, this fascist, "Uebermensch" mentality. However, this is not a personal or individual issue, it is the logical hegemony of transnational, corporate imperialism, still being directed by the Bush administration and its belligerent hawks. It is Global Fascism, the true, real grimace of world, corporate imperialism in severe crisis.

As US reaction to the arms sales to Venezuela, by Russia and Brazil, according to the editor of Axis of Logic, Les Blough, "The design that underlies this play is transparent even to the casual reader: The US cannot make any credible claim that Venezuela has 'weapons of mass destruction' as it did in Iraq, so it is beginning to weave a new lie. The new deception is that conventional weapons now comprise the threat to the US and to 'others'."

Russia categorically rejected US objections to "Moscow's plans to sell automatic rifles and helicopters to Venezuela, dismissing as "unfounded" concerns that the weapons could be used by leftist rebels."

Now, what is the revolutionary crux of this matter in Venezuela?

It is simply the fact that if we do not effectively arm our Sovereign, our Armed Forces, our Popular Army, that is, our Citizen Power, immediately, then very soon, with the aid of the UNO and the OAS, the USA will disarm us, as it did in Iraq, and thereafter, will invade us, and present us with another Fallujah, and we would not even have old plastic forks and knives to defend ourselves. This US strategy was developed long ago already, in the very "Project for a New American Century."

Moreover, at this eleventh hour, this is not just a national issue, it concerns the whole of Latin America, and the "Third World."

How urgent this matter is, can be seen by the sign of the times: every time when the USA prepares a full scale military intervention. or a military coup, against any country or government, that it considers to be endangering its economic and national interests, it launches a flood of destabilization campaigns, an info-war, a galaxy of blatant, bare-faced lies, disseminated across the globe by its mass media like Fox News and CNN.

Also, it activates "Operation Phoenix," the systematic assassination of charismatic political leaders, and then the genocidal massacres, the rape and plunder of natural resources like biodiversity, water, gas and oil begin. Here in Venezuela, the severe attacks can occur any time, in a month, at the end of the year...

At this very moment, the blood hounds and death squads of the CIA, directly organized by the Bush administration, are trying to assassinate President Chavez. This the whole world already knows. Fidel Castro and Chávez himself publicly are making Bush personally responsible for this heinous, criminal incitement and possible, atrocious, fascist act. Chávez: "At this very moment, I am condemned to death ... for this, George Bush is responsible. ... " (See: ¡Alo, Presidente! Sunday, 20/02/03)

In these critical times, for the USA, Venezuela, as strategic, oil-producing country, is vital. One thing is very sure, eventually, Uncle Sam will come for all of us, including for his very local Quislings and lackeys. About this flowing Truth, the very Bin Laden and Hussein could sing the Swan's Song. Hence, we all have to be fully prepared to self-defend ourselves by all armed means necessary.

At the moment, the warning in Venezuela should already be Blood Red Alert!

Unless, in armed unison we act immediately, what fascist world the USA currently is launching, Orwell, more than five decades ago, very precisely has described as follows:

"A world of fear and treachery and torment, a world of trampling and being trampled upon, a world which will grow not less but MORE merciless, as it refines itself. Progress in our world will be progress towards more pain. ... In our world, there will be no emotions except fear, rage, triumph and self-abasement. Everything else we shall destroy." (George Orwell, Nineteen Eighty-four, The New American Library of World Literature, New York, 1961, p.220)

Like Jesus Christ, to free ourselves, Simon Bolivar, brought Fire and the Sword to this world. In this spirit, President Chavez has stated: "The voice of the people is the voice of God."

Hence, Venezuela, the writing on the wall now simply reads: Waterloo or Dien Bien Phu?

Our editorial statement reads:
VHeadline.com Venezuela is a wholly independent e-publication promoting democracy in its fullest expression and the inalienable right of all Venezuelans to self-determination and the pursuit of sovereign independence without interference. Our stance is decidedly pro-governance (defined as being contrary to anarchy) and pro-government to the extent that we support all and any government policies aimed at consolidating and improving the living conditions and future prosperity of ALL Venezuelans, regardless of race, color or creed. We also seek to shed an international spotlight on nefarious practices and corruption which, for decades, has strangled this South American nation's development and progress. In every respect VHeadline Venezuela's declared editorial bias is most definitely pro-Constitutional, pro-Democracy and pro-VENEZUELA.
