IN MEMORIAM: Danilo Anderson ... a brave servant of the Venezuelan people

Venezuelafoia.info (New York) Eva Golinger writes: As a colleague of Daniel and a fellow fighter against injustice, I deplore the brutal assassination of this brave lawyer, who was only doing his job, not caving into the immense pressure around him.

This action against Daniel represents the barbarity of those who wish

ASSASSINATED:
Danilo Anderson

to inject us with fear  and want to prevent the advances of the Bolivarian process and our struggle for justice.

They are the ones who fear us ... they fear our courage and our relentless search for the truth.

The assassination of Danilo is an attempt to silence us, to intimidate us and prevent any further progress.

Daniel always was aware of the danger surrounding him, with each subpoena, each case against the coup leaders, he knew that he was risking his life in order to pursue his duties as a Prosecutor, and he did it anyway, head held high as a soldier in this battle.

Now more than ever, we have the duty to continue in this battle with even more strength, more determination and more clarity.

This brutal act has confirmed for us one more time that there are those who don’t want us to advance, those who will do anything to impede our progress -- we saw this during the coup, the strike, the guarimbas, and now Danilo.

Danilo Anderson

We have lost a brave warrior today, a determined prosecutor, and a serious and professional attorney who dedicated his life to his work - in the name of justice.

It is a tremendous loss. In memory of my colleague and fellow soldier, I reiterate my commitment to continue in this struggle.

As the attorney leading the investigation of the CIA and the US Government involvement in the coup and in the ongoing destabilization campaign in Venezuela, I will continue with the strength of Danilo in my investigations and my work.

I will not be intimidated and they won’t stop me with showings of brutality.

Our editorial statement reads:
VHeadline.com Venezuela is a wholly independent e-publication promoting democracy in its fullest expression and the inalienable right of all Venezuelans to self-determination and the pursuit of sovereign independence without interference. Our stance is decidedly pro-governance (defined as being contrary to anarchy) and pro-government to the extent that we support all and any government policies aimed at consolidating and improving the living conditions and future prosperity of ALL Venezuelans, regardless of race, color or creed. We also seek to shed an international spotlight on nefarious practices and corruption which, for decades, has strangled this South American nation's development and progress. In every respect VHeadline Venezuela's declared editorial bias is most definitely pro-Constitutional, pro-Democracy and pro-VENEZUELA.
